Stone Countertop Fabrication & Install

$55–$180 per sq ft installed

Stone countertops in Houston run $55–$180 per square foot installed — quartz starts around $65/sq ft, premium marble and large-format porcelain reach the top of the range. As an Authorized Cambria Partner and in-house fabricator, we cut every slab with CNC precision and edge finishing at the Spring Branch shop and install with the same crew, delivering factory-direct pricing with no middleman markup. Walk 50+ slabs at 11768 Clay Rd, lock your edge profile — eased, bullnose, ogee, or mitered waterfall — and most stocked-slab projects template-to-install in 3–5 business days (7–10 for special orders). Hurricane season (Aug–Oct) tightens Port of Houston slab shipments — we recommend selecting and tagging your stone before July for any fall project.

How is this estimate calculated?

The number is sq ft × material price/sqft × edge multiplier, using H&E’s actual installed Houston pricing for our in-house bridge-saw + CNC + waterjet fabrication and same-crew install. Material price-per-sqft ranges:

  • Entry quartz: $55 – $78/sqft
  • Mid-range quartz: $75 – $110/sqft
  • Cambria (premium quartz): $95 – $145/sqft
  • Granite: $60 – $130/sqft
  • Marble (Carrara / Calacatta / Statuario): $85 – $180/sqft
  • Large-format porcelain: $95 – $165/sqft

Edge profile multipliers:

  • Eased: ×1.00 (included)
  • Bullnose: ×1.05
  • Ogee: ×1.08
  • Mitered waterfall: ×1.15

Includes template, in-house fabrication, and install. Excludes demo of existing counters, plumbing disconnects, backsplash tile, and special-order slab shipping. Hurricane-season Port of Houston delays (Aug–Oct) can move special-order timelines but don’t change the price.

The monthly is the midpoint of the range financed at ~9.9% APR over 5 years. Actual rate + term depend on your credit profile via Enhancify, Synchrony, Hearth, or a Houston credit union — full financing detail.

This is an estimate, not a binding quote. A binding quote is issued by our team in writing after a 30-minute showroom walkthrough.

Estimates are based on H&E’s in-house Houston pricing — national chain quotes typically run 25–40% higher on the same materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a quartz countertop cost in Houston?

A quartz countertop in Houston costs $55–$120 per square foot installed depending on slab grade and edge profile. Premium Calacatta-style quartz runs higher; standard mid-grade slabs come in around $65–$80 per sq ft installed. We provide free in-showroom estimates and you walk through actual slabs before committing.

How long does stone countertop fabrication take?

Most Houston countertop projects template-to-install in 7–10 business days. Day 1 we template (precise digital measure of your cabinet tops). Days 2–7 we fabricate at our Spring Branch shop. Days 8–10 we install. Faster turnarounds available for stocked slabs; longer for special-order materials shipping through the Port of Houston.

What's the difference between quartz, granite, marble, and porcelain countertops?

Quartz is engineered (resin-bonded mineral) — non-porous, low-maintenance, consistent patterning. Granite is natural stone — heat-resistant, unique slab veining, requires sealing. Marble is natural stone with soft, classic veining — requires sealing and is more etch-prone than granite. Porcelain slab is engineered — thin profile, very heat-resistant, growing for waterfall edges. We carry all four at the 11768 Clay Rd showroom so you can see them side-by-side.

Do you fabricate the slabs in-house or sub it out?

We fabricate every slab in-house at our Spring Branch shop. CNC cutting, edge finishing, and polishing line under one roof. The same crew that fabricates your countertop also installs it — no fabricator-installer handoff, no markup from a third party.

Can I see the actual slab before you fabricate?

Yes — that's the main reason customers choose us over a national chain. Walk through 50+ slabs at the 11768 Clay Rd showroom, pick the exact piece you want by sight, and we tag it for your project before fabrication starts.
